Martinez: 'It Was A Very Mature Performance'

Roberto Martinez says it was a very mature performance by his side in today's 1-0 home win against Bristol City.

Swansea City skipper Garry Monk got the all important goal 13 minutes before the break to head in Orlandi's cross in front of just over 15,000 at the Liberty Stadium.

"I think we were quite wasteful in front of goal."
The Swans have now won 3 in a row as they look to gain 6th and the final play-off spot. We're 1 point behind Burnley but they face Sheffield United at home on Monday night.

Martinez said:

'Our performance was not a hopeful performance by a team hoping to get a good result, we've learned from experience how to win games at this level.

'On the ball we did everything we needed to do to break Bristol City down and off the ball, we worked very hard to nullify their set-pieces so overall it was a complete performance and that is a great step forward for us.

'We knew how to be effective, how to control the tempo and how to defend and sense danger and that is vital - it was a very mature performance. It shows how much we have learned this year in our first season back at this level.'
