Martinez Aims For 73 Points For Play-Offs
Roberto Martinez says he's aiming for 73 points this season to finish in the play-offs.
It's an impossible task for us to finish on 73 points incidentally, but anything less than a maximum of 12 from the remaining 4 games won't be enough for a top 6 finish.
A Jason Scotland double gave us a 2-1 home win against Norwich City but we're still 7 points adrift of Burnley in 6th place.
Martinez said:
'It's about winning at this stage of the season. We got back to the high standards this season.
'I still believe we can do it but I don't expect to get into the top six unless we get 73 points.
'After that we will see where it takes us. I think it could even come down to goal difference but I think we need all the points open to us. Many things could happen to the top six yet.'
