Cardiff 'Fan' Arrested & Set For Lifetime Ban

A Cardiff City fan, or should I say complete idiot, has been arrested and will be banned for life if found guilty of throwing a coin at referee Mike Dean during today's 2-2 at Ninian Park.

5 other arrests were made outside the ground for disorder.

Cardiff City Chairman Peter Ridsdale and manager Dave Jones were both appalled buy the individual's behaviour. Ridsdale said:

'It's a disgrace, it's unacceptable, makes you sick because obviously we spend a lot of time at Cardiff City trying to do the right things.

'Today was always going to be a high profile game. You don't expect idiots to do that and people like that have no place in football and certainly no place at Cardiff City football club.'

Cardiff City boss Dave Jones said:

"It was an absolutely crazy thing to do. The chairman will be making a statement but throwing a coin could have easily taken someone`s eye out.

"It could have hit one of our players, one of the Swansea players or the referee. Why do it?

"It`s the last thing we need down here. We`ve worked really hard to get away from all that and improve our image - I can`t understand the mentality of the person.

"We have all the banter, the shouting and atmosphere but it`s just a football match. I thought those days were long gone.

"It was total stupidity and it has taken the edge off a great game of football.

"It`s sad because everyone will be talking about the man who threw the coin rather than a game which had everything - excitement, controversy and last minute penalty.
