Trundle Could Face Police/FA Enquiry
Lee Trundle's moment of madness after the Football League Trophy Final win could land him in hot water.
He showed a flag which read 'F*** Off Cardiff' and a t-shirt showing a cartoon person urinating on a Cardiff shirt.
He along with Akinfenwa were the main heroes of the day and what he probably thought was harmless fun aimed at our rivals could now see him receive a fan and possible ban.
Superintendent Bob Evans said: 'I am aware of the incident. I certainly take a dim view of what happened.
'The incident was logged in the match report, it has also been reported to the football league and an official police investigation has been launched and further enquiries will be made into this incident throughout the next few days.'
Chairman Huw Jenkins apologised for Lee's actions and said: 'This could be something that Lee lives to regret. It's certainly something I can't defend. We regret any offence that occurred.'
'Maybe it was a heat-of-the-moment thing. Lee will probably wish that this hadn't happened. I just hope that it doesn't cause any animosity between the two sets of fans.
'I'll be taking this seriously, we'll have to deal with it.'

fair enough the flag may have been heat of the moment but the t shiurt jkust tops it off
its ridiculous, we need to promote young kids and families but trunlde has shown why rivalry still goes on

I agree. Can imagine a 6 year old there asking his mum/dad what flag he was holding up? The FA are trying to get rid of rivalry and hooliganism and so many fans look up to Trundle so this isn't setting a good example to the youngsters at all. He really should know better and what he thought was harmless fun will probably force a police and FA enquiry. [Edited by Kev]

Just seems like harmless banter to me and Trundle or Tate are in no trouble at all with the club over this issue .

hey back off trundle!!the guy had just played the biggest game of his life and won!!and know just because he got caught up in all the excitment the faw will make something out of nothing!i mean there woz no cardiff fans in the stadium(well there shouldnt be!)what next?theyll probabaly fine the guy who chucked on the flag!people cant enjoy themselves without having someone on there back!!

Well it's just a shame that the win and the great day out will be overshone by Trundle and his flag/t-shirt. That's all press will be talking about anyway.

But you don't need to do that to prove you're a true jack. We've got bad media coverage as a result and all we're gonna hear about regarding the final win is what tate and trundle got up to after the game.
