Swans Duo Help Wales To A 5-1 Win

Swansea City duo Joe Allen and Shaun MacDonald both started for Wales under-21s as they beat Luxembourg 5-1 last night at Parc Y Scarlets.

Eardley opened the scoring after 10 minutes, slotting home from the penalty spot as Joe Allen was brought down in the box.

Less than a minute later, Eardley was then goal provider as John Brown doubled our advantage.

Andy King and Simon Church gave us a healthy 4-0 lead at half time before Polidori pulled one back on 57 minutes.

James Wilson then grabbed our 5th with 11 minutes remaining.

Former Swansea manager, and current Wales under-21s boss Brian Flynn said:

'We played better in Luxembourg last week and couldn't score.

'This time the shots went in and it was a good all-round performance.

'We have given seven players their debuts at this level in the two matches, and they have all gained a lot of experience.

'This all helps for their development and we have another good bunch of lads coming through.'
