Roberto Martinez says his players have a huge desire ahead of Sunday's Derby game at Ninian Park.
A second win of the season against our arch rivals Cardiff City could set us on our way for a superb end to the season which could see us go up into the play-offs. Defeat though would surely end our chances of reaching the top 6.
Martinez is expecting a fantastic atmosphere for Sunday's early 11am kick off, and says his players will cope with the occasion, he told the Evening Post:
'The Carling Cup game against Cardiff in September was the best atmosphere we have had at the Liberty Stadium,'
'I expect that from Cardiff City fans. This will probably be the best atmosphere they have had for a long time. That's why everyone is so excited with the derby.
'The boys have got a huge desire going into this game. To be ourselves this season we have had to experience different environments this season, which we have done well.
'So going into a derby with a very intimidating atmosphere is something we are ready for.''
Martinez also kept up his Premiership ambition for the club, he added:
'This is a huge game for the right reasons, and that is important,''
'If you look where both clubs are, we are fighting to get into the top six. It is live on television and a great advert for Welsh football. It is very exciting.
'The next step is to see this derby in the Premier League. It is great to see how far we have come, but we need to push it to the next step.
'We are moving in the right direction. The football club has no debt whatsoever, we have Premier League facilities at the stadium and the training facilities are not far away from Premier League status.
'So it is about football terms in getting there. We have shown Premier League quality in periods this season, and if you want to get to that level you need to be consistent.''
Cardiff City vs Swansea City kicks off at 11am on Sunday 5th April. All tickets, home and away, are sold out of the game. It'll also be shown live on Sky Sports.
