Jenkins: We Must Beat Cardiff City

Jenkins: We Must Beat Cardiff City

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins says we must beat Cardiff City if we want to finish in the play-offs.

All tickets are sold out for the derby match at Ninian Park on Sunday 5th April and a win for either side could set them on their way to gaining a top 6 finish.

1,600 Swansea City fans will make the short trip to Cardiff all hoping we can get a second win against our arch rivals this season.

Huw Jenkins said:

'Going to Cardiff and winning the game is a massive target for us,'

'It's a big game for both clubs anyway, everyone knows that.

'But if we could win up there, it would give us the chance to put some pressure on the sides above us in the last five games of the season.

'Beating Cardiff would set us up for the last few weeks of the campaign.'

'It would be wrong to say we wouldn't be disappointed if we don't make it,'

'We played some good football and I think we deserve something out of the season.

'On the other hand, some people would say that finishing in the top 10 is what we deserve.

'All I would say is that with six games left there is a lot to play for, so let's wait and see what happens.'

The match kicks off at 11am and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
