Scotland Confident He'll Face Cardiff City

Scotland Confident He'll Face Cardiff City

Top scorer Jason Scotland is confident he'll face Cardiff City on Sunday 5th April, despite possibly playing 2 international games beforehand.

The Trinidad and Tobago striker doesn't return to South Wales until just 2 days before the game at Ninian Park, but he remains confident he'll face the Bluebirds, he told the Evening Post:

'I want to be playing and I don't think the manager will put me on the bench for the Cardiff game.

'I am not back until the Friday, but I have got that extra day this time because the derby is on the Sunday.

'That means I will be able to get a session in with the boys on the Saturday and I think that could make the difference.

'I will keep myself in good condition while I'm with the national team and keep myself ticking over to make sure I come back right for the derby.'

Previously when Scotland has been on international duty Martinez has rested him but the Swansea manager has recently said that he'll come back fresh and prepared for the derby game.
