Laws: We Played Some Excellent Football

Sheffield Wednesday Brian Laws said his side did a good job against Swansea City yesterday afternoon and limited our threat as the game ended in a goalless draw.

The Owls had the better of the chances and forced Dorus De Vries into making some excellent saves, particularly in the second half.

Laws said:

'Swansea are a good footballing side, but the players worked extremely hard and I thought we were unlucky not to get a goal.

We've done as good a job on them as anybody this season.

'Some of the football we played was excellent - particularly in the second half - and their goalkeeper had to pull off some great saves.

'We're probably safe but it's still mathematically possible for us to go down so we'll keep going.

'I thought Luke Varney was excellent. His movement was good and he hung in the air well.'
