Monk: We Still Have Chance At Play-Offs

Skipper Garry Monk still believes Swansea City have a chance of reaching the play-offs, despite experiencing back-to-back defeats.

It was the first we've lost two games in a row in the League since Roberto Martinez took over 107 games ago.

Anything but a win on Saturday at Sheffield Wednesday would make getting into the play-offs a really tough ask.

Garry Monk is still upbeat about our play-off chances, despite the Swans giving QPR their first win in 10 games last night at Loftus Road. The defender told BBC Sport:

'You lose two in a row and everyone thinks you're out of it but we're still in with a play-off chance.'

'You see it time and time again in this league, that a run of two or three wins can put you right back amongst the top six,'

'Of course we'd like to be in a better situation but we have seven games to go and there is every chance we can finish in the play-offs when it really matters.

'Every season you see a team in the Championship who has a late push that squeezes into the play-offs and hopefully that can be us.'

'We conceded a sloppy goal at QPR,'

'And we've no excuses. We pride ourselves on clean sheets and we must do that at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.'

a very slim chance if anything. we'll have more of a chance if we win sat, but i can't see us getting 1.

Garry's right you still have to believe until the maths tells us otherwise. What a brilliant season we've had. Come on lads step up for the final push and see where tha gets us.
