Warnock: No One Can Deny Our Win
Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock says his side were fully worthy of their 3-1 win at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon.
The Eagles were only the second team to beat Swansea City in the League at the Liberty as the Swans struggled to play at their usual standards.
Serran's error gifted Palace the opener early in the second half, before Fonte doubled their lead 12 minutes later with an easy tap in.
Gorka Pintado then came on to get us back in the game at 2-1, just 13 minutes after replacing Mark Gower.
We tried to push forward in search of an equaliser but we struggled to create enough chances. Palace then put the game beyond doubt in injury time with a third.
Neil Warnock said his side surprised the Swans with their quality:
'We surprised a lot of people today. I said at half time we might have even surprised ourselves.'
'We knew it would be difficult, I decided to change it and put 3 kids in the side and you don't get much tougher places than this [Liberty Stadium]. They've lost once all season here and I think they were unlucky to lose to Birmingham.'
'I don't think anyone can deny our win today. We were professional and threatened on the break.'
'I thought it was a team performance and it had to be against a team like Swansea.
'You either let them play or have a go, which we did. I thought Shefki Kuqi ran himself into the ground.
'While Julian Speroni's save from Jason Scotland at 2-1 was a match-winning save.'
