'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Martinez Warns Midfield Duo Of Possible Bans

Roberto Martinez has warned midfield pair Leon Britton and Jordi Gomez that they could pick up a 2-match ban if they get more bookings in the next 5 games.

Gomez is one card away from a 2-match suspension, while Britton is 2 bookings away.

The Swansea boss would hate to lose the pair for a couple of games as they've played a vital role this season to our on-going success on the pitch.

He's given them a warning, but has insisted they don't change the way they play:

'It doesn't matter if you get to five bookings for the season now because the deadline for that has passed,'

'But if you get to 10 bookings at any stage over our next five games it means a two match-ban so Jordi and Leon have to be careful.

'Having said that, they should not change their performance to avoid a booking - I would rather leave them out than have them do that.'

Roberto Martinez could name an unchanged line-up tomorrow when Crystal Palace visit the Liberty Stadium with no fresh injury concerns.

He is likely to make a few changes however as he usually likes to rest players. Mark Gower will be hoping to make a return to the wing while Joe Allen was also rested in midweek.
