Tudur-Jones: I'll Be 100% Committed To Swindon

Midfielder Owain Tudur-Jones says he'll be 100% committed to Swindon Town during his one-month loan spell at the League One club.

The former Bangor City player has found it difficult to get game time at Swansea City and has been looking to go out on loan since the start of the year.

He had the opportunity to join fellow Championship club Sheffield Wednesday who were interested, but Martinez rejected the move in January.

With the likes of Joe Allen and Darren Pratley in action again, Tudur-Jones is struggling to even make the bench and is looking for first team football to boost his chances with the Welsh international team.

Tudur-Jones told the Official Site:

'I travelled up to Swindon on Sunday and trained with them for the first time on Monday morning.

'With Swindon dropping into the relegation zone over the weekend it's a difficult time for the football club. But I spoke to manager Danny Wilson and he believes he has the players to get out of trouble.

'If I can add something to the squad to help them, that's what I will be looking to do.

'I need game time because my opportunities at Swansea have been limited. I haven't played as many games as I would have liked which is disappointing, but that's the way football is sometimes.

'I will be 100 per cent committed to Swindon while I'm there. There will be a lot of pressure on the games, but I think that will help me because nobody can go through the motions.

'There will be a lot riding on each game, so it means I will have to perform.'

Since his move in 2005, Tudur-Jones has been troubled with on-going knee injuries which has hindered his progress here and limiting him to just 26 League starts at the club.

it would be great for him to come back a good player but i still can't see him doing a job for us at this level.

Joe Allen and Shaun MacDonald both did well during their loans and benefited a lot from them, hopefully it's the same story with OTJ.

OTJ before his injury had some good games and showed promise although it was Division 1. His opportunity in the fist team has shown that he is off the pace of the game. It is only with regular football that match sharpness will improve. As already said, it worked for Allen and Macdonald and so, OTJ needs this opportunity.

When did he have good games this season? I don't remember them.

How long left is on his contract? Is a full-time move possibly if he does well at Swindon?
