Martinez: It Was 2 Points Dropped At Forest
Roberto Martinez said his side dropped 2 points after a third consecutive draw at Forest yesterday.
The Swansea boss was disappointed to let the hosts back in the game as McGugan cancelled out Jason Scotland's opener on the hour mark.
Martinez told Wales Online:
"Every point counts for a lot at this stage of the season but I thought the hardest thing today was to score the first goal and, once we`d done that, it was disappointing to let them back into the game.
"We knew it was going to be tough against a side in a good moment after two great results and in the end we have to be pleased with the performance.
"But the players are disappointed as we have higher standards than that. Once we go 1-0 up we are a team that can get on the ball and control the game - yet after doing that we allowed them one goal to level and a few more chances."
"It`s two points dropped because we did the hardest thing which was get the goal, keep Forest quiet and control the game. And when you do that you should win the game. We didn`t and, if you want to get promoted to the Premiership, you have to be good enough to do that. We are and we will learn from this and now every game is a final for us."
The Swans now need to claim maximum points in our 2 home games next week if we want to finish within the top 6. We host Plymouth on Tuesday before facing Crystal Palace on Saturday.
