Tate Confident Ahead Of Anderson Test

Swansea City left back Alan Tate says he's confident he can keep former winger Paul Anderson quiet in tomorrow's game at Nottingham Forest.

The Liverpool winger has pace to burn, and we saw plenty of that raw pace last season when he was on a season-long loan with us.

It's fair to say Alan Tate is not the quickest of players within the squad, but he's confident he can do a good job of keeping him quiet tomorrow afternoon, he told the Evening Post:

'He is quick,'

'In fact, he's probably one of the quickest players I've played with in my career.

'But I seem to have done all right against some good wingers this season.

'I've been pleased with how things have gone against players like (Jimmy) Kebe, (Jermaine) Pennant, (Michael) Mifsud and (James) McFadden.

'To be honest, every winger I play against is probably quicker than me, so that's something I'm used to.'

'I wouldn't say we were disappointed when he didn't come back.

'It would have been a bonus if he'd rejoined, but he wasn't our player and these things are out of players' hands.

'I don't know whether Ando will regret his decision because Forest have had a difficult season.'

Anderson told the News of the World he doesn't regret his decision not to extend his stay with us, but surely he would have enjoyed a play-off chase rather than a battle against relegation?

Will Alan tate deal with the threat from Paul Anderson tomorrow? What are your predictions for the game?

i'm worried about this, he could be a right handful tomorrow and tate's full pace is like anderson's jogging pace! i hope he puts on a professional display
