Martinez 'Not Considering Signing Anderson'

Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez told the Evening Post that bringing Paul Anderson back to the Liberty Stadium for a second spell is not something he's considering at the moment.

The Liverpool right winger impressed during a season long loan with us last term, helping us win the League One title and promotion to the Championship.

We were all hoping he'd extend his spell with us this year, but he opted to join Nottingham Forest instead.

We have coped well without him, continuing our success and looking to get into the play-offs, while Anderson hasn't had the best of seasons at the City Ground.

He had an injury early on in the season and couldn't make his first appearance for the club until October. He's made 20 appearances for the Reds, scoring 2 goals.

Martinez told the Evening Post:

'We all know how much we enjoyed Ando's football last season and I'm sure he'll want to do well against his old club,'

'He had a great year with us, but that's part of Swansea's history now and we need to focus on what's on our plate - 11 games where we have the chance to fight for our Premier League dream.

'We have moved on since Ando left and we wish him all the best after this weekend.

'Could he come back? Players make their own choices and he has a long-term contract at Liverpool, so that's not something to consider at the moment.'
