'If It's Football, It's Vital'

61% Would Like Us To Sign Konstantopoulos

61% of our readers voted in a recent poll that they'd like us to sign Dimi Konstantopoulos permanently in the Summer.

The Greek goalkeeper impressed during a loan spell at the Liberty Stadium, and most notably saved a key penalty in the 0-0 draw at Doncaster and made a number of saves in our 2-0 win at Portsmouth in the FA Cup.

The Coventry City shot stopper made just 4 League starts for the Swans, plus 2 other cup appearances as he replaced Dorus de Vries while he recovered from a fractured cheek bone.

He was expected to extend his loan stay in last month's January window but due to snow he was unable to sign the required papers before the 5pm deadline.

He made the worse move possibly then by joining our arch rivals Cardiff City, but fans were smiling again after watching him drop a cross and conceding an own goal for the Bluebirds to prevent them from beating League leaders Wolves, instead they drew 2-2.

In our new poll, we'd like to know who you'd like to see replace Joe Allen in the centre of midfield.

The 18 year-old is out for 3-4 weeks with a thigh strain.
