Former England international and Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson is tipping the Swans to reach their Premiership dream.
The former Arsenal man has been hugely impressed by Martinez's side this year, having watched us host Fulham in the FA Cup, and he believes we have what it takes to gain a second successive promotion.
Merson told the Evening Post:
'They have been outstanding. I watched them play Fulham in the original tie and they were different class — it was as good as it gets.'
Jason Scotland has doubted those who believe that he couldn't make the step up to the Championship, firing in 19 goals this season.
Merson added:
'Swansea have a very good centre-forward in Jason Scotland, who will score goals in this league.
'He has scored some great goals. People ask if he can play in the Premier League?
'He can only do what he is asked to do at Swansea. So far he has been fantastic.
'It's a big jump — you only have to look at someone like Nugent, who was ripping it up at Preston two years ago. He couldn't score for toffee when he joined Portsmouth.
'At the moment Scotland is doing everything that is thrown at him. It wouldn't surprise me if he did score goals in the Premier League — he finishes with both feet.
'Martinez needs to ply his trade and continue doing what he is doing. I'm sure a job will come along when he wants it, but I wouldn't be leaving Swansea at the moment.
'They are on a roll. They can play 50 passes before a goal. That is total football.'
'If Swansea get in the play-offs, I would be surprised if they didn't go up. They are the team for me.
'If they go to Wembley they will pass the opposition off the park. We saw it with Doncaster last year against Leeds — they would wipe the floor with them.'
