Goalkeeper Dorus De Vries says the team has proved in the FA Cup that they have the quality to play in the Premiership.
Swansea City had an excellent spell in the competition this year, causing an upset away at Portsmouth by winning 2-0 and holding Fulham to a 1-1 draw in the 5th round.
It was a dominant performance against the Cottagers but we narrowly missed out on the chance to play Manchester United at home as Fulham beat 2-1 in the replay at Craven Cottage.
De Vries put in his best performance of the season on Tuesday night, as the Dutchman Fulham chance after chance to equalise in the second half.
Hodgson's side eventually managed to get past de Vries with 2 strikes in 4 minutes, as both Dempsey and Zamora headed home respectively.
With a game in hand over Burnley, Bristol City and Preston, we can overtake all these teams and gain a play off spot providing we can win away our extra game at QPR on March 17th.
With cup competitions behind them, De Vries told the Western Mail that we can now fully concentrate on the League:
'This team is ready to take the positives from the cup and kick on now,'
'We've got 13 games left in the league and show the same pride we've done since November.
'It's a talented group of players and we're still learning and progressing.
'But we know that if our mentality is right then something beautiful can happen.'
The shot-stopper also believes that the FA Cup proved they have what it takes to play in the top League, he added:
'It doesn't seem like a huge gap between these teams and ourselves,' he said.
'Of course, it's completely different over a whole season than just a few games.
'But I think we've got the talent in the team to adapt to certain circumstances.
'We showed that against Portsmouth, Fulham at home and again away on a ground where they've got the second-best Premier League home record.
'We showed that too against West Brom in a pre-season friendly which we drew 0-0.
'We've got a taste of the Premier League now - a good taste.
'As players that is what we dream of, the Premier League is a great attraction and that is the stage where we want to be.'
Swansea City are at home again this weekend as we host bottom side Charlton Athletic.
