Martinez Disappointed But Proud Of His Players

Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez was disappointed to see his side go out of the FA Cup but was proud of his players after tonight's 2-1 loss at Fulham.

The Spaniard admitted he has the same feelings that he had after the first tie, when the Swans dominated the game but missed a host of chances to win us the game.

Jason Scotland put us in front just 2 minutes into the second half, but Fulham piled on the pressure and score two goals in 4 minutes to seal the win.

Tonight's defeat means we miss out on a chance to host Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium.

Martinez said:

'I have a bit of the same feeling we had after the first match,'

'I was extremely proud of our players, of their approach to the game and there was a good arrogance about our play.

'But we're disappointed because we didn't have that bit of luck you need in the cup.

'Perhaps we scored a little bit early because what we're good at is keeping the ball, holding possession and after we scored we weren't able to do that.

'I just hope the Swansea fans are very proud of us today.'
