Gower Confident We Can Beat Fulham

Midfielder Mark Gower says Swansea City are more than capable of beating Fulham away on Tuesday night in their FA Cup 5th round replay.

The former Southend player missed 3 great chances in the first tie, as we were held 1-1 at the Liberty Stadium. Garry Monk scored an unlucky own goal just before half time but we responded quickly as Scotland struck a 52nd minute equaliser.

Gower also said that he'd be willing to take some of the blame if we were to lose tomorrow night after missing chance after chance to give us a deserved win, and to line up a quarter-final home tie against Manchester United.

Gower is full of confidence that the Swans can win away at Craven Cottage, he told Wales Online:

'We can beat Fulham without a shadow of a doubt - and that's not just us saying that,'

'When you hear someone like Sir Alex Ferguson saying what he did you know you must have a chance.

'Sometimes you question yourself whether you're playing as well as you think, but then you hear what people like Sir Alex say and the TV coverage, and realise we are that good at the moment and we have nothing to fear.

'Even talking to (Fulham midfielder) Simon Davies after the first game, he was saying how frustrated he was because he hardly had a kick and had to chase shadows for 90 minutes.

'If you can do that to a Premier League team then it says something and we can't help but take confidence from that.'
