Monk Misses Out With A Back Injury

Monk Misses Out With A Back Injury

Skipper Garry Monk was left out of the 16-man squad today as a precaution, having picked up a slight back strain.

He was replaced by Albert Serran at the back and hopefully he'll shake off the injury for our visit to Craven Cottage on Tuesday night to face Fulham in the FA Cup 5th round replay.

It was great to see Jordi Gomez fit to play though, he passed a fitness test and struck a second half brace to give us a 3-1 win against Doncaster.

apart from the early slip up, serran looked pretty good at the back, and could be a real threat to monk, as i feel he's the weakest link in the team right now

I thought he was ball watching at times, including for their goal and wasn't following his marker, I remember a few times he lost his man in the box. Apart from that he made some good tackles
