'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Former Swan Price Relishing Swansea Match

Jason Price is relishing the chance to face his former club tomorrow at the Liberty Stadium.

Price began his Football League career with Swansea City and spent 6 years at the Vetch Field, making 118 League starts and scoring 15 goals.

He then went on to have spells with Brentford, Tranmere and Hull before joining Doncaster in 2006.

Ahead of the game, Price said:

'The four games against Swansea and Cardiff were the first ones I looked for when the fixtures came out,'

'I was born between Swansea and Cardiff and all my family and friends will be at the game and I just hope that I am on the bench at least.

'I think that it will be one of our toughest games of the season,'

'I watched them in the FA Cup against Fulham at the weekend and I think that Fulham only had one shot.

'I know they have got the replay at Craven Cottage next week to think about, but they have got a big squad and I'm sure that they will be able to handle the two games.

'It should be a cracking encounter between, in my opinion, the two best footballing sides in the Championship and I think that there could be a lot of goals.

'We'll be going there in a confident mood. We've got a good starting line-up and we've also got a good bench which gives the manager a range of options to change things during a game.

'There is such strength-in-depth now that almost everyone is fit that to even get on the bench is difficult.

'It can be frustrating not being in the side but the manager sometimes switches things and goes horses for courses.

'That being the case you never know if you are going to be playing so that keeps everyone working really hard in training so if they do get their chance they are ready to make the best of it.'

"I was wondering who will move on in the summer.

I can't see Butler or Tudur-Jones offering us much in this League and how is O'Leary still here doing nothing? Another one is Bauza, as much as I like the guy, hes another who fails to offer much, he's not an impact player or a first team starter. Who do you think will be off in the summer?"
