Players Expecting Tough Game Against Doncaster

Leon Britton, Tom Butler and Ashley Williams give their views ahead of Saturday's home match against Doncaster and they are all expecting a tough game.

Rovers won promotion from League One last season along with us and Nottingham Forest, and after a bad start, they've hit a good run of form and have climbed the table to 15th place.

They did us a favour on Tuesday by beating fellow play-off hopefuls Bristol City 1-0 - the League's most in-form side at the moment.

We should ignore Doncaster's League position as obviously that's not a fair reflection on them.

Tom Butler views on Saturday's game:

''The way we lost will stay in our minds for a few days, so we will want to get that out of our system as quickly as possible,''

''Doncaster are in excellent form at the moment while we were 16 unbeaten before going to Watford, so it will obviously be tough.

''But we have confidence in our ability that we can get back to the standard we expect of ourselves.''

Britton added:

'The last time we played Doncaster, they were on a bit of a bad run.

'But it is fair to say that they're in a very different position now.

'Both teams know each other well after both coming up from League One last year and it'll be tough.

'We need to wipe the Watford game from our memory - and if we can start another unbeaten run, that would do us very nicely.

'If we could go the final 14 games unbeaten - though preferably not drawing eight on the bounce again - I'd have thought we'd be in the play-offs by the end of the season.'

Williams is also aware of Doncaster's recent run of form and added:

''But we are concentrating on the league right now. Doncaster is a big game for us.

''Doncaster have been doing really well — they are on a brilliant run. They have got the momentum going into this game so we know what we have to do.''

there's no easy games left and doncaster are a good side and at least we know what we're up against on saturday, we seemed to have no clue on tuesday night that watford were actually a decent side.
