Swansea City could net nearly £500,000 in the space of 5 days as they play the first of two cup finals tomorrow evening up in Wrexham.
Both teams fight it out yet again for the £100,000 prize money in the FAW Premier Cup Final, this time to be played at the Racecourse Ground.
The £100,000 will be spent on player bonuses if we can beat Carlisle on Sunday afternoon to lift another cup - the Football League Trophy.
As we know Jackett takes the two cup competitions very seriously and with us possibly missing out on £75,000 from LDV Vans, who are not supplying prize money for sponsoring the competition, it makes tomorrow night's final a litle bit more important.
I would definately swap promotion to the Championship for the two trophies, one is wooden and the other doesn't even reward you with prize money. A second successive promotion brings much more success, we'd be in a higher league, a much bigger pay day and playing Championship football 3 years after battling to stay in the whole League really is an achievement to be proud of. A lot less can be said about winning the Football League Trophy and what glory follows. I'm not complaining though as I've never experienced a cup final day out.
Promotion has gradually been sliding further away from us since the turn of the year and whilst some of you may think the two competitions have affected our league progress, I don't think it's hindered our promotion hopes that much.
Second string sides have been played in these cup games with the first teamers being rested and although injuries have limited our options naming the team, I still think we've had enough quality available to win enough games recently to get us into the top 2.
Lee Trundle returns to his former club and he expects a hostile reception from the home crowd.
Darren Way has never really fully returned from injury since joining us and he looks to be sidelined again.
Owain Tudur-Jones was rested for the trip to Gillingham as he returned to a full week's training recently. He has a slight chance maybe of making it to the 16-man squad to travel North.
Rory Fallon and Tommy Williams are both cup tied for Sunday's final so they'll be hoping to feature in tomorrow's final instead.
Jackett will no doubt name a strong side but it probably won't feature many changes from the one that lost at Gillingham on Saturday. Akinfenwa may be rested for Sunday giving Fallon a first team chance while Ricketts could also do with a rest with Williams replacing him.
Trundle was poor on the weekend so it maybe worthwhile resting the striker ahead of the FLT Final on Sunday.
Fans can purchase tickets at the club shop and they include FREE coach travel to the game. (£10 & £5)
