'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Martinez Delighted at Dream Draw

Roberto Martinez has admitted the Swans potential F.A. Cup Quarter-Final with Manchester United is the dream draw.

But the Spaniard has warned his players that the draw is just a dream at the moment, and that it will mean nothing if they do not continue their level of performance over the next few weeks.

Swansea face some crucial Championship fixtures between now and the Cup replay as they look to keep in the hunt for a play-off spot.

And Martinez is fully aware that a home tie with the European Champions is a plum tie for any club; including Fulham.

Martinez told the Evening Post:

'It's a fantastic draw, but it's just a shame that we are not looking forward to playing Manchester United already.'

'We should be in a position where we can celebrate because our performance against Fulham was good enough to see us get through, but as it is United are a long way off.'

'What you can say is the draw gives us a fantastic incentive to go to London next week and try to perform well enough to get a result again.'

'United are the best team in Europe and their manager is the best in club football anywhere in the world.'

'There is no manager anywhere else who has kept up such high standards over so many years. The fans will be excited and from our point of view it would be a great game to play in.'

'I actually think it would easier in a way for us to play against United than any other team because we know they would definitely come and try to control things.'

'But we can't get too excited because at the moment it is still just a dream. We have to focus on the Championship games we have coming up and then we have to focus on Fulham, who will be very keen to set up a tie with United too.'

'It's an incentive for them too because any player wants to play at home in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.'

Before that the Swans have another incentive when visiting London this Tuesday night as a win against Watford could see them go level on points with the side in the play-off spots.

We've made it a lot harder for ourselves to get this awesome FA Cup, we should have guaranteed a home tie with Man Utd but it'll be very tough against Fulham at the Cottage, I can't see us dominating quite like we did at home on Saturday.
