Tate Hoping To Face His Former Club In Cup

Full back Alan Tate is hoping they can beat Fulham in the FA Cup 5th round replay to face his former club Manchester United.

A quarter-final home tie against the Premier League title holders awaits but Swansea City need to travel to Craven Cottage and get a win to setup a hugely attractive game at the Liberty Stadium.

Alan Tate would obviously love to face his former club and he wonders how the Swans aren't in the next round already, he told the Evening Post:

'The first thing I said when it came out was 'Why didn't we beat Fulham?','

'We should have got through on Saturday and I can't believe we didn't now that it could be United next.

'It would be amazing for the club if we could get through. The fans deserve a big club at home and there's no bigger club in the world than Manchester United.

'It's a great draw for me personally, especially as it would be a first chance to face my old club.

'But we have got to beat Fulham at their place now and that's a big ask.

Realistically we haven't been drawn against United until we get through and I'm sure Fulham will be just as excited as we are about the chance to face them.'

'It doesn't make that much difference being away from home,' he added.

'The pitch might be a bit narrower and a bit shorter, but we have to go there and play as we always do.

'It would be amazing to play United, so hopefully we can all come together as a club and try to get past Fulham.'

It will be gutting for everyone at the club if we lost at Fulham now in the replay. We deserve to go through and hopefully we can go one better and beat them on their own patch next week.

after what tatey has done for us playing in his new left back role, hes done a superb job there and i think that he deserves the chance to show his former club exactly what they let go.. and let him show them that he is a good left sided player aswel as right sided. come on the jacks lets do fulham up there.
