Hodgson Wants Big Improvement In Replay

Hodgson Wants Big Improvement In Replay

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson says he is looking for more quality from his side when they face Swansea City in the FA Cup 5th round replay.

For the winners on Tuesday 24th February, is a home quarter-final tie against Premiership title-holders Manchester United.

Hodgson said that it was a jaded performance but his side on Saturday, while the Swans performed impressively against an organised top flight side.

'We have earned a replay and I can only hope that we show something nearer the form we've shown this season in that game.

'I know we can play better going forward and I think Swansea will probably see that when they come to Craven Cottage.'

'Then there was the save from Gower, and their attacking play was good. Their two wingers were lively and they tested us to the full.

'Luckily we clung in there and hopefully we will be in a better position to give them a better game next week.'

'I don't think it will be a different game. Swansea set their stall out to play just like we do.

'They showed why they are in the fifth round and why they are on the verge of the play-offs and it will be another tough encounter.'

Swansea City fans seem confident that we can line up a home with Manchester United, and we have every reason to be after dominating Saturday's game, but it could prove a lot more difficult away from home.

He needs one otherwise there'll only be one winner, and it won't be his side facing United again!
