'If It's Football, It's Vital'
Davies: Swansea Almost Play Like Barcelona
Welsh international Simon Davies the Swans play a similar style of football to Spanish giants Barcelona.
He knew exactly what to expect going into yesterday's game and he said afterwards:
| 'It was a tough game for us but we knew that before, because we knew how much possession Swansea get at the Liberty.' 'We gave them the respect they deserved all week - watching the videos and seeing the way they play we knew how difficult it would be.' 'I`ve seen them on TV a few times and I know a lot of people who see them regularly, so I knew how tough it would be.' 'The way they play it`s almost like Barcelona, utilising the wide players very wide when we play with a narrow four to try and keep it tight.' 'So that would always make it difficult for us and we were hoping to perhaps nick something on the break.' 'It`s such a big pitch. It`s so difficult to get on the ball and we have to be happy to take the draw.' 'Now we can look forward to trying to get the win in the replay.' |
The replay will be played on Tuesday 24th February at Craven Cottage, kicking off at 8pm.
