Konstantopoulos Joins Rivals Cardiff City

Former loanee and Coventry City goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos is set to join Cardiff City on loan.

The Greek shot stopper will join the Ninian Park club when the window opens for Emergency loan moves on Tuesday.

It's the ultimate insult for the Swans really. We missed out on extending his stay with us because he didn't return to Coventry in time to sign the relevant papers due to snow.

We are unable to sign him until the end of the season and instead he'll hope to get first team action with our bitter rivals down the road.

Roberto Martinez has shown a key interest in Konstantopoulos and the Swans boss could well look at signing him permanently in the Summer.

the snow is a poor excuse, Swansea had all January to tie up the deal, now look what's happened, and they can kiss goodbye to Dyer at the end of the season

He knew we wanted him, so why did he wait until the last moment to go and sign the forms in Coventry. Despite what he said, I don't think he wanted to come to Swansea.

Feel something has been going on behind the scenes with both keepers wanting the starting place - wasn`t Dorius the only first team regular that didn`t play against pompey? Think RM would have liked to give Dimi a run in the team but for some reason opted to put Dorius back in. One thing for sure Dorius upted his game while Dimi was fighting for his spot hope he doesn`t get complacent again.
