Martinez Delighted With Ipswich Win

Roberto Martinez was obviously delighted with his side's 3-0 home win against Ipswich Town.

The Swansea boss said the play-offs must be their target now this season after extending their unbeaten run to 15 games.

Martinez said after the game:

'We knew we had a huge challenge on our hands today and Ipswich showed in spells just how good they are.

'I am delighted we kept playing our normal game but goals change matches and we imposed ourselves upon Ipswich after scoring so early.

'I'm sure it was a pleasure for our fans to watch a performance like that and everyone kept up their standards, not just Jason.

'His second goal was superb and he is a great finisher who also holds the ball up well but every player contributed to the victory.

'We are into the last third of the season and our target must now be the play-offs. Everyone should be proud of out achievements but we must keep on progressing so that we can realise our dreams.'

The Swans will turn their attentions to the FA Cup 5th round next weekend when they host Fulham in front of the ITV cameras.

good finishes from Scotland today, but he has to work on his ball control, when it's played up to him from midfield
cyjax
2 goals from jason and he wins us the game yet more criticism, this site wouldnt be the same without cyjax though!
GThomas
you must only see scotland when he scores and completly forget about all the mistakes he makes, tinted, rose and spectacles again come to mind, yes he can score, but all i'm saying is he needs to work on his control more, Dyer could show him a thing or 2
cyjax
aslong as jason scotland is scoring goals who cares about control...she has a great strike on him can score with both feet looks like he's hit top form at the right time of the season.
WayneCollins
you might find we're stiffer opposition next Saturday!
Al Billy
oh come off it cyjax, no player is perfect but scotland is doing what he gets paid off, putting the ball in the back of the net and winning us games. As WC says big deal about his control his strikes yesterday were Premiership class, especially the second one, a great turn from 2 or 3 defenders in the box. give him some credit FFS
GThomas
I should think so Al Billy but we'll be confident of getting a resultbut it'll be tough.
