Jenkins Considering Deals For Gomez & Dyer

Swansea City Chairman Huw Jenkins says they are considering permanent deals for loanees Nathan Dyer and Jordi Gomez.

He also revealed that despite the January transfer window ending at 5pm yesterday, they still have until March to sort out permanent deals for their loaned players.

Both players have proved to be superb signings. Jordi Gomez, on loan from Espanyol, has scored 10 goals this season, 2 in the last 2 games. Dyer has also impressed and scored in the 2-0 FA Cup win away at Portsmouth.

Huw Jenkins told the Evening Post:

'We didn't try and complete any deals yesterday because there was no need,'

'The two players we have on standard loans, Jordi Gomez and Nathan Dyer, can be converted into full-time signings at any time up until the last week of March.

'We have checked up on the regulations and we knew we didn't have to work towards yesterday's deadline.

'That is not to say that anything will definitely happen because as I've said previously we will only do a deal if it's on our terms.

'But the fact is that we can look to secure Nathan and Jordi before the summer and that's something we are considering.'

Diplomatic words by the chairman. In reality we are (we have to be!) determined to tie them both permanently.
Czech_Jack
so is he saying they are on loan and we alone have the right to buy? because if that is not the case, we WILL be outbid in the summer for these players

We need to sign these to up AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, and we need to spend quite a bit to secure thier signings.. we have enough money in the team to afford Gomez and Dyer but we have to be willing to spend it.. we cant let these 2 slip away from us as they both are class players and can help us gain our dream to the premiership !!

agree, the longer we leave it the higher the fee
