Southend Miss Deadline For McLeod?
There are strong rumours suggesting that Southend United have failed in a bid to loan transfer listed winger Kevin McLeod.
The deal was done just seconds before the 5pm deadline yesterday afternoon and the FA didn't receive faxed confirmation before that time.
It's yet to be confirmed as to whether the deadline was met or not, although it was expected to be confirmed by this morning.
Allowing a player to move to one of our main promotion rivals seems like a stupid thing to do although if the deal does go through (which is highly unlikely now) then it probably won't allow him to play against us at the end of April.
A lot of people would disagree but i think he should definately be shown the exit door. He has the ability to play in the Championship but it's not much good to us when he only shows his full potential every 3 or 4 months on average.
We must point out though that we can't confirm this (just like any other site at the moment) as being anything more than just a rumour.
We'll post up official news on the transfer as soon as we get it.

Some fans like him just because he done the swim away, grow up. It's his football that he does on the pitch that matters, not his goal celebrations. He plays well on average every few months, so how's that any good to us?

I'm getting fed of this now, he's a good player yes, but why can't you understand that he hardly shows this on the pitch. and swansea_gal, you are the one who's acting about 12 on here, you can't even spell.

i'm not specifically having a go at you, it's becoming an issue as quite a few members are talking in slang. A lot of sites don't like it and say so in their site/forum rules. We're just trying to get rid of slang talk.

I've tried moving off-topic chats that start in comments onto the forums and I've explained to members to use the forums and keep comments related to articles. I've had to reply to messages aimed at me because some people don't read the forums. I think it;s right for him to go, he's had his chance already and Jackett has had enough, he's not proving himself enough and unfortunately he's no use to us anymore. There's just no consistency with him.
