Bauza Keen to Face Hero Kanu

Bauza Keen to Face Hero Kanu

Swansea City striker Guillem Bauza has admitted he is relishing the prospect of playing against his hero Kanu.

by KevinE
"It was great to see Bauza playing and scoring again, it's been a while."
The Spaniard scored the decisive second goal against Histon, and reveals that he has followed Kanu's career from his early days in Holland.

Bussy told the Evening Post:

'One of the good players I would like to face is Nwankwo Kanu — I would love to play against him,' said Bauza.

'I have followed him since he played at Ajax. I like him as a player and as a human being he has done very good things.'

'On the Playstation, I play as him.'

'All the players will be special, but Kanu is someone that myself and my friends back in Mallorca talk about a lot.'

'He is a really good player. If I do get the chance to play against him, I will try to enjoy it.'

Chances to play have been limited for the popular front man, but he insists that he is prepared to wait for his chance.

'Since I have been at Swansea I have not had many chances to score, but the chances I have had have been in the FA Cup.'

'It is a matter of when I play that the goals could come. I have had to be really patient because I am not getting into the first XI.'

'When you are on the bench or in the stand, you have to be patient and work hard on the training ground.'

'When you are on the pitch, you have to show the gaffer you can play and score goals.'

'Maybe I will have another chance this Saturday, but if not I will wait until the FA Cup.'

Meanwhile, Roberto Martinez has reitterated that he is not looking to bring in any more players in this transfer window, stating that Nathan Dyer can fulfil the role of a fourth striking option.
