Southend United will have to wait until tomorrow morning before knowing whether they signed Kevin McLeod before the 5pm deadline or not.
It was thought that they had done the deal before the deadline for loan deals but the FA didn't receive faxed confirmation until a few seconds afterwards.
Make sure you check the site tomorrow to see whether he's joined them or not.
He was placed on the transfer list last week for a number of things. He was seen out clubbing on the same night as a match and in the end, Jackett didn't really show much interest in McLeod staying.
He said earlier in the week: ''I've spoken to Kevin McLeod's agent and to the player and told them both that from my point of view, the best thing would be for him to go now,''
A number of clubs showed an interest including Sheffield Wednesday, Chester and Doncaster but he joins one of our main promotion rivals, Southend.
His representative, Neil Sang said: 'It is an awesome measure of Kevin's abilities that he could attract such interest from a club top of League One,'
'To think a club like Southend pushing for The Championship, it just shows how highly regarded he is.
'But Kevin is leaving Swansea with a heavy heart. He loved the club and still does, and the fans have never been anything other than great with him.'
It's a shame to lose a player with the amount of ability he has but in end he simply wasn't putting in the required effort and commitment.
He made a superb start to the season, scoring 7 goals, including 3 in the 7-1 thrashing over Bristol City. But apart from the recent game against Huddersfield, we haven't seen a good performance from McLeod in months.
We play Southend on April 29th but at the moment I'm unsure as to whether the deal allows him to play against us in that game.
