Collins Set For 6-7 Weeks Out

Swansea City have been hit by another defensive blow as Matty Collins will spend 6-7 weeks on the sidelines.

The right back ruptured ankle ligaments during a training session, and Martinez said:

'He will be out for six or seven weeks and that's frustrating,'

'We have a lot of games coming up and he was going to play a part, but injuries are part of the game and we have to make sure Matty comes back stronger now.'

Collins' time with the Swans has been rather frustrating since he first joined at the beginning of last season. He didn't make an appearance last year, and while he made the first team this season in place of Rangel, he was quickly out of the team again when the Spaniard was back from injury.

shame as we need all the defensive cover we can get at the moment. as o'halloran and painter are out injured.

O'Halloran's loan was terminated anyway so an activity towards signing an LB looks reasonable to me.

i mean he's not available now cos he got injured and went back. we do need a natural left back.
