'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Robinson: No Regrets Leaving Swansea City

Despite struggling to make the first team for League One side Leeds, Andy Robinson says he has no regrets that he dropped down a League to join the Elland Road club.

The winger has ambition to play Chanmpionship football, and while he could have been doing that with us this year, he decided to wait and join Leeds instead.

Gary McCallister has recently been sacked as their manager after a struggling start to the season, which sees them in 9th place.

Despite their low position, Robinson remains optimistic that they can gain promotion this year:

'It's easy for people to point the finger at me and say I took the wrong decision but I don't think I did,'

'This season isn't over by a long shot and I still hope we'll have a silver lining at the end of it.

'You can't have regrets in football, as long as you've made your decisions for the right reasons.

'I want to play in the Championship and I gave up that opportunity this season by coming to Leeds, but no-one can come to a club of this size and stature and say it's the wrong move.

'I'm sure I'll get the chance to play in the Championship with Leeds, and I still believe we'll be doing that next season,'

'That hasn't changed.

'I said when I came here last summer that the things I'd achieved at Swansea meant nothing, because this is a different club and a different period of my career.

'I want to raise my game and play a bigger part in the second half of the season.'

I'm doubting he will be missed by many. Tell us your views below or in the forum here

He can't be enjoying it there, and he hasn't even been a big part of their season so far. hasn't started many games and they're around mid table.

i'm glad to see the back of him. he's not good enough to play for us in the championship, can't even get in leeds side in league 1
GThomas
don't think he'd make our team now
cyjax
no chance he would. dont think he could compete with butler, gomez or even gower, who's yet to shine here. we're better off with the money we had for him thats for sure
GThomas

Very bad decision going in the final third of his playing career... No regrets pose is just to make him a cool guy for the media. In reality he made himself a looser.
