Martinez Delighted With Potential 4th Round Draw

Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez says he is delighted with their FA Cup 4th round draw, but says they have to concentrate on beating Histon first.

The two clubs were in Sunday's draw as their match was postponed due to the freezing weather conditions.

"It will be good for us to face a Prem side, the bragging rights over Cardiff would be great."
The Swans will now travel to Histon on January 13th, hoping to avoid a repeat of what happened last season in this competition. Havant and Waterlooville beat us 4-2 and were awarded with a tie with Premiership side Liverpool.

Martinez doesn't want to avoid another chance at playing top flight opposition, as we could face either Bristol City or Portsmouth away in the 4th round.

He said:

'When I saw the draw I was delighted because I worried after the last four draws we would end up in another non-league environment,'

'But to have that opportunity to be able to play against Bristol City or Portsmouth is a very good one, even if it might not be the real glamour draw that everyone will have been dreaming of.

'It's still a very good draw for us, but we know we have to be ready for the Histon challenge first. We had the scenario last year when people were getting excited about Liverpool in the fourth round when we had Havant still to play and it never happened.'
