'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Scotland Predicts Swans Goal Glut

Jason Scotland has predicted that Swansea are on the verge of taking one of their Championship rivals to the cleaners.

The Swans extended their run of draws to eight games after a 0-0 stalemate with Birmingham City on Sunday.

City once again dominated possession, but failed to make the most of their opportunities to claim all three points.

And last seasons top scorer thinks that with a bit more luck the Swans will rack up a big win in the coming games.

The Trinidad & Tobago international told the Evening Post:

'We are going through a spell at the moment where the goals just won't come for us,' Swansea's top scorer said.

'But that will change soon and we will start hammering teams.'

'With the football we are playing, we deserve to be hammering other teams.'

'We are not getting the goals our play deserves right now, but we have to keep believing the goals will come. When you get one, it takes a lot of pressure off and, if we could get an early goal I think we could score quite a few.'

'The most important thing is that we are creating chances,' Scotland added.

'I think we are just missing that little bit of luck at the moment. Sometimes it's decision-making, but sometimes it's just the rub of the green.'

Scotland missed one of his sides best chances at St. Andrews, and he admits its one he should have taken.

'I should have hit that one first time,' he lamented.

'I've got nine goals in the Championship, but as a striker you start to feel it when you go two games without scoring.'

'We have drawn the last two games 0-0 and you think 'If only I'd got one, we would have won the game'.

'I honestly don't know how we didn't beat Birmingham. You'd probably be happy with a point beforehand when you go to a place like St Andrew's.'

'But the way the game went, we are disappointed not to have come away with all three.'

Scotland's international team mate Dennis Lawrence has had his loan spell at Crewe extended to the end of the season, whilst Shaun Macdonald has been linked with a similar move to Stockport County.
