'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Martinez Vows To Find The Solution

Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has vowed to help his players find the way to convert their possession into goals.

Martinez watched his side dominate a Birmingham City side packed with Premiership players for ninety minutes yesterday, but once again the killer touch was lacking.

And the Spaniard has said it is up to him to find the solution to City's winless run.

He told the Evening Post:

'I'm frustrated that we haven't won because that is four in a row now where we have dominated and not got the victory,' Martinez said.

'That's one too many and it's a bit unfair on the players.'

'We dominated the game from start to finish and created more than enough chances to win, but I will take responsibility for finding a way to help the players convert those opportunities.'

'The three strikers we had on the pitch during the game, Gorka Pintado, Jason Scotland and Febian Brandy, all made an impact in the game and I'm happy with that.'

'The goals will come for them, I can guarantee that. We have the quality within the squad to score goals if we maintain the standards we have set.'

Meanwhile, Dennis Lawrence looks likely to extend his loan at League One Crewe until the end of the season.
