Swansea City To Miss Out On McGinn?

Swansea City To Miss Out On McGinn?

Swansea City are likely to miss out on the battle to sign Northern Ireland star Niall McGinn as Celtic are thought to have offered a healthy bid for the midfielder.

The Swans had a £125,000 bid rejected recently by Derry City, a fee that doesn't come close to their valuation of the 21 year-old.

However, Celtic are believed to have tabled a much stronger bid, thought to be around £300,000, and a move to the Scottish Premier League champions is looking likely.

It's all speculation at the moment but the Swans will find it difficult to compete with Celtic, who can provide McGinn with Champions League football next year.

McGinn isn't going to Celtic. He wants to play first team football next seson and Celtic can't gurantee that. a move to the swans still looks vey much a sting possibility. However, Derry City willl be expecting a strong bid for the youngster.

I can't see us bidding £300,000 for him. It's not often Martinez splashes the cash like that.
