Tudur Jones: This is The Chance I Have Waited For

Owain Tudur Jones is looking forward to finally getting the chance to impress at the heart of the Swansea City midfield.

The injury plagued Welshman has found opportunities to impress limited due to the outstanding form of Britton, Pratley and Bodde.

But with Bodde out for the season, Tudur Jones was able to make his first Championship start against Coventry on Tuesday night.

And the local lad believes he can only improve with a run of games under his belt. He told the Evening Post:

'It was nice to get out on the pitch and start a Championship game for the first time on Tuesday.'

'It has been a disappointing week in terms of injuries for the squad.'

'We lost probably two of our most consistent performers this season for the Coventry game in Ferrie and Leon.'

'As a squad we have to dig deep, show our qualities and make sure as a club we stay in the Championship and keep pushing on.'

'Personally, I have put myself in the frame.'

'I think I can keep improving with the run of games I've been looking for since returning from my injury.'

'Hopefully I can nail down a place in the side — this is the chance I have waited for. It's up to me to take it.'

There is no bigger game than Cardiff for Tudur Jones to prove that he is ready for the challenge.
