Bodde: I'll Come Back A Better Player

Swansea City's star midfielder Ferrie Bodde says he is devastated at missing the rest of the season with a knee injury, but insists he'll come back a better player.

Roberto Martinez will be without his best player for 6 months or more after he suffered a serious knee injury in last Friday's 3-2 home defeat against Birmingham.

Bodde told the Western Mail he is confident of coming back from injury stronger:

"Obviously I am devastated that my season is over,"

"But you have to be positive about the future and I have no doubt I will come back a better player.

"I now have to use my recovery to make sure I come back fitter than ever. I can learn a lot from watching the games as well.

"Several players have had injuries like this and come back stronger. I am confident I will do the same.

"Now I have to wait until next season with Swansea. But I will do everything possible to make sure it is a smooth recovery so that, when I do come back, I am at my best."
