Coleman Doesn't Mind Winning Ugly

Coventry City boss Chris Coleman says he's not looking for a Swansea City style performance on Tuesday, he just wants the three points.

His comments ahead of Tuesday night's game are hardly going to be echoed by Roberto Martinez - a manager who likes his side to perform with a high tempo free flowing passing game, to entertain the crowd, and with that, to claim 3 points.

It's a bundle us fans have been enjoying since the Spaniard took over as boss in February 2007, and long may it continue.

Coleman's side beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 by playing ugly, and he won't mind a repeat of that if it means adding 3 to their points tally, the former Swan said:

'We never really attempted to play pretty football or flowing football against Sheffield,''

'We said let's go there and do to them what's been done to us week in, week out.

'We have got Swansea tomorrow night and I don't care if we do that again, even though we are at home, it doesn't matter to me. I just want three points.

'I don't want to be sitting after the game saying: 'Do you know what we may have lost but didn't we pass the ball well and create some chances today?

'Maybe the supporters are expecting a pretty game but maybe it is not going to be, but I don't care as long as we get the points.''

he might not but martinez certainly does! i'd hate to watch more rubbish boring football like that and thank god we are blessed with martinez and his superb style of passing football. remember, if football was supposed to be played in the clouds god would have put grass up there!! :D
