Martinez: We Deserved The 3 Points At Norwich

Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez said his side deserved the three points in the 3-2 victory away at Norwich City on Saturday.

The Swans came from a goal behind as Jason Scotland equalised with 2 minutes remaining of the first half.

Darren Pratley and Ferrie Bodde then netted within the first 3 minutes of the second half to give us a 2-goal advantage.

Martinez told the Evening Post:

'I thought we deserved the three points,'

'Norwich put a lot of pressure on us early on, we couldn't get our rhythm going and we went a goal down.

'To find a way to win the game at a place like Norwich after that is very pleasing, because this was the last test we needed to pass at Championship level.

'We have performed at home against the top sides and won games, and we have been away and got results at places where you don't get intimidated by the atmosphere.

'But we have not come to a Premiership environment, like Reading, Crystal Palace, Charlton or Norwich, and won until now.

'It's another step forward for us.'

'We have not peaked yet, and that's extremely exciting.

'When you come into the Championship, you can look to sign old heads and try to survive in the division, or you can try to improve on the potential you have got.

'We cannot compete with clubs like Norwich financially, and the key to our success is having players who want to get better.'

Oh I think you can compete financially Martinez, we haven't got any money, just a good club profile that attracts players. Lita's wages are being paid for by a local business man, for 2 months.
