Painter Out For Weeks Not Months

Swansea City defender Marcos Painter will be out for a few weeks not months according to Swans boss Roberto Martinez.

In an off the ball incident the Birmingham City man was carried off the field of play 10 minutes into the second half with a possible suspected knee ligament injury. Painter accompanied by Swansea City physio Ailsa Jones was taken to Hospital for a more detailed tests after the final whistle. It leaves the 22 year old in a race to face his former club.

Martinez Told The Official Site:

'We'll be assessing it straight away. We're looking at weeks more than months with this injury and hopefully it won't be as bad as it looks.Talking about weeks out rather than months.'
