Konstantopoulos: Swans Move A Great Opportunity
Swansea City's new signing Dimitrios Konstantopoulos has revelled that his loan move to Swansea City is a good opportunity to secure first team football.
The 29 year old will arrive in Swansea this evening ahead of making his début for the club against Southampton tomorrow afternoon. This season has been one of frustration for the Greek after spending the majority of the summer recovering from an Achilles injury that has not seen him play this season and hampered his pre season preparation with the Sky Blues.
The former Greek U-21 international has dropped down the pecking order at the Rioch Arena following the capture of the highly sought after Keiren Westwood from Carlisle United in the summer and Bury born keeper Andy Marshall has put himself in second spot ahead of the Konstantopoulos.
Konstantopoulos Spoke On The Official Site:
|''It's a great opportunity for me.I've played at the Liberty Stadium a few times and really enjoyed it.The stadium is first class and, from what I remember, the support is superb. It's a big club; a good club.I've been out injured for a spell, but now I'm back fully fit and looking forward to challenging for a first team place. It's also a chance to help Swansea out of their resent predicament.'|
