Martinez: Looking To Sign Quality Keeper
Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has reveled his intentions of signing a quality goalkeeper to deputize for the injured Dorus De Vries but has insisted he will not settle for second best.
Martinez has been forced into the loan market after De Vries sustained a broken jaw and depressed cheek bones when a Martin Rowlands challenge left the 27 year old needing an operation this week. With limited options available Martinez is looking at Premier leauge clubs for the answer to his dilemma and has not ruled out a move for an unattached player to shore up his options.
However with time ticking against the Spaniard to bring in a replacement the Swans boss looks all but set to hand Artur Krysiak his Championship and Swansea debut
Martinez Told The SWEP:
|'We want to bring in someone who has going to add something to our goalkeeping department.I don't just want another name or another number. We are a bit limited as to where we can look as it can only be a loan deal, which would normally mean going to the Premier League. The other option is someone who is unattached and has good experience.Either way, we have to find someone with the right character who will strengthen us while Dorus is out.''|
