Martinez: Praises Players After QPR Stalemate

Martinez: Praises Players After QPR Stalemate

Roberto Martinez is refusing to rue missed chances after the Swans secured a point against a indisciplined Queens Park Rangers.

In a game fraught with incident Swansea were held to a draw despite showing a dominance that Martinez believes has all the hallmarks of one of the most one sided fixtures fans will see in the championship all season long. In a game that deserved more than a point for the Liberty Stadium outfit, the Spaniard faces the prospect of loosing shot-stopper Dorus De Vries for a number of weeks after Dutchman was stretchered off with a broken jaw after a very late challenge from Martin Rowlands one Martinez thinks that could have been avoided.
Martinez Told The BBC:

'It was the most one-sided 0-0 you will see in the Championship. The performance in many, many areas was outstanding. The points will come if we keep playing like this. I am taking a lot of positives out of this performance.

'I don't think the player (Rowlands) is a malicious player. When the ball is there, you are allowed to challenge for the ball. But when you hit a goalkeeper on the face, it's avoidable.'
