Swans Linked With Hoops Keeper Lee Camp

Reports have suggested that Swansea City are interested in signing Queens Park Rangers's out of favour shot-stopper Lee Camp according to goal.com.

The 26 year old goalkeeper signed for the Loftus Road outfit in 2007 for a fee believed to be around £300,000 from Derby County. After making over fifty appearances for the Hoops but with only one appearance to his name in Carling Cup this season opportunities have been limited by the arrival of former Spurs keeper Radek Cerny.

Ian Dowie has cooled speculation over a January departure for the Derby born product and has revelled that he has not put Camp on the transfer list.

Dowie Told The Kilburn Times:

'I haven't put him on the transfer list. Lee trains hard every day and I've got a good relationship with him.Obviously he's disappointed that he isn't in the team at the moment, but I expect him to crack on and keep working hard, the same as anyone else in the squad.'

Meanwhile Dorus De Vries has opened talks with the club to extend his contract at the Liberty Stadium.

I and many other Rangers fans would be gutted to see him go - Lee has been a cracking servant to the R's over the years, and took a pay cut to join us - the way we've treated him is nothing short of disgusting. For the record he is FAR better than Radek Cerny.

Agree with Boxer - you'd be getting the steal of the century! He's a great keeper - tho, like every keeper I've ever seen, he makes mistakes!! But I'd hate to see him go, as would just about every QPR fan!!
